IMPERMEABILITY
Kalmatron® KF-A creates a homogenous mass of
concrete with 97% micro pores and only 3% macro pores.
Carbon Dioxide gas is normally produced from concrete and it
must build up a bubble of a certain “critical mass” before it is
able to rise to the surface of the concrete. The result is 70% macro pores and 30% micro pores.
Concrete with KF-A produces Acetylene gas which is released
as soon as it is formed, resulting in 97% micro pores and only 3%
macro pores. Liquids such as water, alkalis, acids, and oil products
are unable to penetrate the concrete as their own tensions prevent
it. More
technical information on a multitude of benefits achieved with KF-A
can be reviewed by viewing How
Kalmatron® Works. For
more test results, job site applications, detailed information, see KF-A.
