COMPANY BACKGROUND AND OVERVIEW OF KALMATRON®Page 2 MULTI-FACETED COMPOSITIONKalmatron® is used by the building industry in 3 distinct ways: In Concrete MixUsed as a concrete additive in new construction, it makes concrete very compact and durable. Kalmatron® is recommended for use in any concrete structure where density is an important factor, or in which the concrete should be impervious to water, salt water, corrosion and chemical attack. Kalmatron® is also recommended when high flexural strength is required. On New ConcreteUsed in pure form, a 3mm - 5mm layer of Kalmatron® on new concrete will make the new concrete completely impermeable to water - a waterproof barrier. This application is ideal for waterproofing underground structures, where ground water can seep in and cause damage to the structure. On Old ConcreteUsed in pure form, a 3mm - 5mm layer of Kalmatron® on old concrete will blanket an old deteriorating concrete structure, providing a protective barrier. Kalmatron® literally wraps around the outer surfaces of the concrete like an armor-plate, penetrating deep into the old concrete and shielding the structure from the elements. The passage of time will have been slowed down greatly for a structure treated with Kalmatron®.
