KALMATRONŽ KF-D

DESCRIPTION OF KF-D

White, dry powder with specific smell.  After application, the smell disappears.  The non-organic compound works as an admixture to cement containing Earth-Materials-Sealants (EMS).

BENEFITS

  • Initial solubility of KF-D with water is 100%.

  • Final hardened product is insoluble even in acid or salt water.

  • Completely reduces bubbling of standard mixture.

  • Hardening time is adjustable by using different amounts of KF-D.

  • KF-D does not affect the environment.

  • The application of KF-D using injection or sorption treatment creates a chemically altered structure with increased density and reduced hydraulic conductivity or coefficient of permeability.

USES OF KF-D

  • Improves density and impermeability of soil or severely deteriorated structures by adding mixture to standard EMS mixes for injections under or into sinkholes, foundations, tunnels, dams, sewage systems, channels, wet and polluted soil, etc.

  • Strengthens standard formula and increases waterproofing.

  • Improves binding with standard fillers of concrete and particles of soil.

  • Stops leaks.

APPLICATION OF KF-D

  • Add 5.5 lbs of KF-D per 220 lbs of cement or 2.5 kg of KF-D per 100 kg of cement to EMS and mix for no less than 10 minutes.

  • Apply the mixture using injection technology.

COMMENTS

The application of KF-D and EMS treatment chemically changes the structure of soil and building material liner with a reduction in hydraulic conductivity.  The degree of improvement depends on the initial density of the structure.  For crumbling soil, it is almost 100 times as effective as for untreated soil in stopping leaks and moisture flow or seepage.
