KALMATRON® KF-G

KF-G is a liquid spray for rehabilitation of degraded concrete rheology.

Any coating on deteriorated concrete or masonry prevents the structure from further corrosion and upgrades impermeability as one of the important rheological characteristics. But even under that protection, the original material is still weakened and not capable of handling targeted loading. Therefore, before any coating is applied, the original structure should be reinforced by rehabilitation of the concrete rheology.

It is known that cracks with widths in excess of 3 mm are repairable by filling with some patching material. Microcracks with widths less than 3 mm are not repairable at all...until NOW. The summary volume of micro-cracks is much bigger than the volume of repairable cracks. Obviously, these microcracks reveal the real identity of the rheological aging of the concrete structure. That is why healing of microcracks is more effective for rehabilitation of concrete. This is easy to prove by comparative compressive tests for both specimens.

KALMATRONÒ KF-G is a new generation of concrete rehabilitation technology. Advantages of this product are:

Ø       simple application by spray, or injection or soaking of original concrete surface;

Ø       fast improving of structural features on 7th day with or without consequent coating;

Ø       works for any level of damages and the worse they are, the higher the effectiveness of KF-G

Ø       could be used as a curing compound for a new concrete defected by high shrinkage, low active cement, etc.

Ø       very effective for injection of unapproachable structures such as foundations and underground walls;

the level of concrete improvment is strongly related with the volume of absorbed KF-G. That is why it is important to apply KF-G on a dry concrete surface with moistness around 6%.

Application:

1.       Dry powder of KF-G dissolves with water on a job site.

2.       Concrete surface should be dry, about 6%, and cleaned free of paint, grease and any other coatings.

3.       The criteria of properly cured concrete are soaked surfaces, recognized by a dark-wet color.

4.       Patch cracks that are 3mm or larger, and other superficial damages with KF-B.

Apply KF-F by spray or brush to get continuous and solid surface.
